I'm a detective looking into the whereabouts of Mr Kratos. If you have the time to spare I'd like to ask you a few questions.

I was informed that you were the last person to see him. From what I was told, that was in the Water district, and reportedly he was helping with the aftermath.

What can you tell me about the encounter?

I'm pretty sure I'm the *only* one who's seen him and known who he was, if we're getting specific, but whatever.

Yeah, he and I pulled a kedan woman out from under a house that was collapsing into one of the canals. I recognized the magic he used to heal her afterwards as the same spell Raine had used on me last year when I broke a few ribs. I figured he had to be from the same world and he was, but he was very persistent about not wanting to see Raine, or Sheena, which was weird.

Apparently avoidance is a Thing with him. I lost him in a crowd in the market when I called Raine to let her know Kratos was there. She was the one that told me his name; he refused to introduce himself.

Raine mentioned he was good at adapting-any idea what she would have meant? If we're talking shape-shifting it might complicate things a bit.

[Raine is a very good person. Clearly this means Kratos is the one with a problem.]

Uh, pretty sure he doesn't need to breathe, for one. We were under water for a while and not even a bubble came out of his mouth. And even with the auburn hair, he knows how to blend in. He's got a cloak with a hood that'll make him harder to spot. [Also: magical. But she technically doesn't know that.]

Her name is Joclen. She's a good enough shapeshifter to be able to form gills.

...why do you keep signing your texts? I know who you are now.

[Pepper sends him the information she has; it's not detailed but the description of her appearance is probably enough for him to get a start on.]

Hope that helps. Kratos healed her so she might be interested in finding him, too, if she feels like saying thanks. Just an idea.
