Personality: Pepper is, to say the least, very talkative. She often manages to cram so many words into a sentence you wonder how they don’t reach critical mass and destroy the speech center in her brain. She’s also pretty hyperactive, which lends itself to her endless ability to talk. However, the absolute speed of her locution means that her brain-mouth filter sometimes runs a little bit behind, and she can be a little tactless. It also turns her into something of comic relief, as she’s nearly always cheerful, but it does occasionally get her and Team Iron Man into sticky situations as well as out of them. When she gets angry, though, look out; she’s fierce to the point of being dangerous.
Pepper also has a tendency to overreact, and jumps to the worst (and sometimes highly ridiculous) conclusions. She’s also quite adventurous, to the point of being reckless, and she sometimes takes impulsive risks, such as reaching beyond her limits when she first learns to fly a suit of power armor.
Despite these flaws, Pepper has an almost unnerving ability to find information on basically everyone in existence, especially those individuals who she has absolutely no security clearance for even knowing exist, usually by cracking her father’s passwords into the FBI mainframe. Her ability to gather this information makes her a valuable member of the team, but her ability to read people based on that information makes her irreplaceable.
A core reason for why she both is willing to break the law is because she's highly inquisitive; she always wants to know what is going on and how she can contribute to a situation. Information and knowledge excites her almost as much as fighting criminals. It's also clear that Pepper digs into Virgil Potts' work because she wants to take care of him and keep him safe; Pepper will do anything for family, including sometimes stupid and dangerous things.
Although she can seem flighty and apt to freak out in dangerous situations, she actually tends to focus down even harder when she’s under pressure, even if she sounds like she’s lost her mind. Pepper is the one who tends to see the best in people, and her experience with Gene in Keeliai has only solidified her belief that second chances can be life-changing. True villains wouldn't keep saving her life, or refusing to fight her the way that Gene did; true monsters would not try to protect her or be her friend. She’s compassionate and intelligent (although she’s no fan of chemistry), as well as resilient in the face of betrayal and devastation on the scale of an alien armageddon. Her conviction, once she makes a decision about something or enters a fight, is nigh unshakable.
Her tenure in Keeliai has given Pepper time to grow. Her leadership skills have improved; she's calmer now than she was when she arrived; and has learned that being angry with someone and loving them are not mutually exclusive. That's what family is about. Pepper has also had to acknowledge that if she were pushed far enough, she could do terrible things in defense of that family. She wouldn't, but she could, and that makes a world of difference.
Appearance: Pepper is about 5'8'', with short reddish-pink hair, hazel eyes, and freckles. Pepper has gained both strength and muscle definition since her arrival, but is by no means bulky. She usually wears casual clothes that allow for ease of movement.

Abilities:
Rescue Armor: Tony built Pepper her own power armor just before the end of season two. The suit combines some of the best features of the Mark II armor with the stealth armor designed for sneaking around. The suit gives her superhuman strength, enhanced durability, flight and stealth capabilities, repulsors, the unibeam, and (her personal favorite) energy bombs (also known as laser grenades). It's a bit beaten up since tech levels in Keeliai weren't high enough to make any significant repairs while there.
Fighting Ability: Pepper has been training at the Jade Dojo almost since her arrival, and is now moderately skilled in using a quarterstaff and hand-to-hand combat. She also has some basic swordplay skills.
Shadow Magic: After discovering a Duelist Gauntlet, Pepper gained the ability to use Shadow Magic from the Yu-Gi-Oh universe with training from Bakura. She underwent a Shadow Test, and can now summon her ka, Valkyrian Knight, at will. In order to summon other Shadow creatures, or use Spells and Traps, Pepper has to have the physical card in hand, and is therefore limited by her deck (about 40-50 random cards). She can summon several Shadow creatures of level 5 or below per day, or one of higher levels, before she runs out of energy and needs to rest. Growing her capacity to summon higher level creatures or use more Spells requires consistent training and she relies on the Dreaming for any new cards. Additionally, she has to use the magic according to its rules, or it can backfire significantly.
Suitability: Having spent over two years in Keeliai and two years at home dealing with all manner of strangeness, Pepper is accustomed to the sort of oddities and delights that Khu Ioduan has the potential to bring. She's adaptive and cheerful, and not much fazes her for long. The significant time span between Tu Shanshu and Khu Ioduan will be a little jarring at first, but she'll find ways to settle in again. The Sentry will definitely intrigue her as a job option, as will the explorations beyond the barrier, and so long as she has room to make friends and explore the city, she'll do just fine.
Inventory: Small bag of clothing, toiletries and trinkets (a carving Bakura gave her, a framed picture of her with her dad). Purse with mobile phone. Rescue armor. Quarterstaff from Jade Dojo, the sword Gene gave her, and a dagger that fits in a boot.
Talent Preferences: Restoration, Conjuration, and Illusion.

The city she emerged from the Dreaming into wasn't the one she left. Pepper knew that immediately. Too many races in one place, and the buildings were all wrong. Where was she? The utter confusion of it must have been obvious on her face (or else the armor and things she carried were like a neon sign of 'newbie'), because before too long someone asked if she was a Dreamfolk. When she'd said she was a Foreigner and then launched into a dozen different questions about what had happened, the nice Muin took her to a place called the Dreaming Bridge.
Somewhere between where she appeared and the halfway house, Pepper remembered she wasn't supposed to be alone, and confusion turned into barely-contained panic. Bakura wasn't with her.
"...it's been how long?" Pepper demanded the intake specialist explain it to her again. "We were only supposed to be in the Dreaming for, like, a year, that's what we were told. Have people from Keeliai been showing up this whole time? Is there a record somewhere? I need to see it."
The kedan woman gently elaborated - those called Foreigners had long been thought lost, since they hadn't returned for centuries. Pepper wasn't the first of them to show up now, however. She perked up at that.
"Do you have a list? I'm looking for someone; he's about my height with white hair, his name is Bakura." Although theoretically he could have given them another name. Her tone had a shade of desperation in it. "Please, I need to know if he's here."
Eventually, the answer came back 'no', and panic twisted into sorrow. 566 years wasn't nearly the biggest problem on her plate. She had to find Bakura, she had to find anyone she knew, and the rest could be dealt with later.
